Kya Aap Bhi Sapne Dekhte Hai

Do you “Dream”? What a stupid question. We all do dream of becoming like our role models or achieving something big and different. But I dream every night a new dream sometimes a G8 star, or a musician, or a Businessman, or a Farmer (living peacefully – hopefully) or an Investor and list will go on and on. Stupid na “kya karu vo to mai hu hi” ..wait wait ...I mean S.T.U.P.I.D (Smart Talented Unique Person In Demand) ;)

I gave a deep thought why do we want to be always great and not do something very common like be a teacher, or a farmer, or a social worker or a small trader and get a descent living and find happiness in little  things. Why always my mind continuously think of doing something which will make me all of a sudden a “big man” (so called), who has all the power and money in the world. I always thought of becoming a big tycoon so that I could sleep well without any worries. But this is practically difficult, the more you climb up the ladder of the system the more responsible you are for guiding others. It is more stressful and need more alertness even to perform small activities, there are more sleepless night thinking of next steps that you should consider. This reminds me of the 80-20 rule. What is 80-20 rule ? According to Pareto's Principle 80% of income in world went to 20% of the population which slowly got applied to all the things, and in world of dream I would say that 80% of the people keep dreaming of becoming big while those 20% who become big, don't keep dreaming they work hard with full passion without any fear for what they believe in and thus they are successful in achieving their dream. So why can't every body do that, I want to become big I am ready to put time to hard work, smart work, full dedication, passion, compassion, out of box thinking, Self-actualization (assume all sort of words which are written in book of motivation) ….haaan now one more quote comes to my mind ….

"Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going." – Anonymous

There you go “Habit” that’s the key, Habit is what keeps you going. Because once we get motivated we also start working on our dream but then we are not persistent and we give it up at some point or the other. Why don't we survive? There are ups and downs in every activity. When we face hurdles on our way we should strive hard to overcome them. Now you will say ... “What rubbish” … we all know that. Don't we? Yes we all know but I was going through one of the blog article and I read that it states that it takes 10000 hours to master in any particular thing... be it trading....or singing… or playing guitar...that’s what it takes to be an expert in any field. To become a master or expert of any subject it needs practice of 10000 hrs. So lets say you are working on your dream and spend on an average of 5 hrs a day. So it will take you approximately 2000 days or 6-8 years to become a professional/expert/master. Assuming you are fully dedicated and do spend 5 hrs a day.

Now you see the 80 - 20 reality... most of us would give up on our dreams may be after 2-3 years because most of us either get frustrated or disillusioned or the hurdles are dominant. So here comes the role of “Habit”, yes we all should have a habit of not leaving our goal and develop a countdown of 10000 hrs. Habit is what turns into the action of those 20% great people which makes them Master in their work. We should have the habit which should keep us driving till the completion of 10000 hrs. “Habit is Fuel to dreams on the journey of success.”

I do realize that I need to put an effort and need to be persistent and develop many Habits. I have also realized that there is no free lunch and we need to work for it and now more than ever. In simple words NO PAIN...NO GAIN...

So, start your countdown towards the 10000 hrs.

Regards,

Vipin Rathi

Eye Sight

Eyesight Weakness is a common problem of the day. Even tender aged school going children may also be seen using spectacles due to weak eyes. Few Days back I got my Eye Test Done and as was worried got the Number (Negative Effects of Modern Technology). Then I started searching the cause for Eyesight Weakness, though I knew that I spend lot of time in front of computer and this is the cause for it but i didn't knew what is called Computer Vision Syndrome until I was surfing about causes for eye weakness. Do you know about it? If not then Read on.

First let’s know about the general causes of Eye Weakness- Heat and Weakness of brain is a main cause of weak eyesight. The morbid matter eliminating by means of Common Cold if suppressed by wrong treatment may also adversely effects the eyes. Beside this, long over and closely watching of TV, continuous reading in a powerful light, digestive disorder, unbalanced eating and living habits and deficiency of vitamin A in food are also responsible for weak eyesight. In maturity, excessive worry and consumption of alcohol also produce weakness of eyes.

So now we know general causes of eyesight weakness so let’s see what is this Computer Vision Syndrome?

Computer Vision Syndrome, or CVS, is a direct consequence of spending too much time in front of a computer screen.

What Causes Computer Vision Syndrome?

Computer eye strain and computer vision syndrome are caused by our eyes and brain reacting differently to characters on a computer screen than they do to printed characters. Our eyes have little problem focusing on printed material that has dense black characters with well-defined edges. But characters on a computer screen don't have the same degree of contrast and definition.

Words on a computer screen are created by combinations of tiny points of light (pixels), which are brightest at the center and diminish in intensity toward their edges. This makes it more difficult for our eyes to maintain focus on these images. Instead, our eyes want to drift to a reduced level of focusing called the "resting point of accommodation" or RPA.

Our eyes involuntarily move to the RPA and then strain to regain focus on the screen. This continuous flexing of the eyes' focusing muscles creates the fatigue and eye strain that commonly occur during and after computer use.

What Are the Symptoms of Computer Vision Syndrome?

If you or your child spend more than two hours per day in front of a computer screen, it's likely you will experience some degree of computer vision syndrome. Symptoms of CVS include:

Headaches

Loss of focus

Burning eyes

Tired eyes

Double vision

Blurred vision

Neck and shoulder pain

Will Glare Screens Prevent CVS?

Anti-glare filters for computer screens may increase comfort somewhat, but they will not solve all your computer vision problems. These filters only reduce glare from reflections on the computer screen and do not reduce the visual problems related to the constant refocusing of your eyes when you work at a computer.

Will Wearing Computer Eyeglasses Make My Eyes Worse?

This is not true. In fact, wearing specially prescribed computer glasses when working at your computer may keep your eyes from getting worse by reducing excessive focusing demands on your eyes. This is particularly true for teenagers, whose eyes may be more susceptible to progressive nearsightedness from focusing fatigue.

Will My Reading Glasses Work at the Computer?

Reading glasses are usually not the best solution for computer use. Eyeglasses prescribed for reading typically will optimize your vision at a distance of 14 to 16 inches from your eyes, which is considered the standard reading distance. But for the greatest comfort, your computer screen should be positioned farther away — at a distance of 20 to 24 inches from your eyes. For the best vision at this distance, a different eyeglass prescription is usually required.

Some general home remedies which might be helpful to some (Dadi maa ke nuskeJ)

-Mix equal quantities of fenugreek seeds (methi dana) powder along with Shikakai powder for washing hair. Wash frequently.
-Mix seeds of cardamom along with 1 tablespoon honey. Eat every day.
-Drink carrot juice twice daily.
-Boil 2 tablespoons fenugreek leaves along with ½ cup moong dal and 10 small onions and eat regularly.
-Using drops of eyebright herb are also beneficial for the eye conditions.
-Eating spinach will help in preventing various eye problems as it contains carotenoid.
-Washing the eyes with cold water will give relief from strain and will soothe the eyes.

  Some Eye Exercise

1. Palming:- To rest and relax your eyes, sit comfortably in front of a table, resting your elbows on a stack of cushions high enough to bring your palms easily to your eyes without stooping forward or looking up. Close your eyes and cover them with your cupped palms to exclude light, avoiding pressure on the sockets. Breathe slowly and evenly, relaxing and imagining deep blackness. Begin by doing this for 10 minutes, two or three times a day.

2. Swinging: - Relax and keep the eyes mobile. Stand up and focus on a distant point, swaying gently from side to side, repeat 100 times daily, blink your eyes as you sway. Blinking cleans and lubricates the eyes, which is especially important if you spend a lot of time in front of a computer.

3. Color day: - You may be asked to have a 'color day.' Choose a color and look out for it throughout the day. When you see it, be aware of the color rather than the form. For example, if it's a red truck, experience the shade of red, not the truck.

4. Sunning: - Try to do this once a day. It requires a sunny day, or a good desk lamp with an incandescent bulb. The exercise is simple. Close your eyes. Look directly at the sun through your closed eyes. While facing the sun, slowly rotate your head from side to side as far as you can. This gets the sunlight on the peripheral vision, and it helps bring more blood circulation to your neck. Do this for 3 to 5 minutes. It's amazing, even on a cold day, how warm the sun feels on your eyes.

Exercise tips

General tips when doing eye exercises Please take off your glasses or contact lenses; you will then feel more comfortable and relaxed. When doing the exercises, intensely concentrate on your eyes. Feel them working and coming to life again!
Do them on a regular basis, e.g. ideally 3 times a day. The results will be better.

An Obituary - (Common Sense)

After the sad event last week (Mumbai's Taj and Oberoi attack) , i heard people blaming politicians for not taking the right steps. Let the few days pass by and we will stop discussing this blame game and go back to our routine life. But the first thing what came to my  mind after this was the obituary printed in london times forward to me by my friend. I thought that this is time i put it on my blog for all to read. below it goes .....

An Obituary printed in the London Times........ Interesting and sadly
rather true.

'Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:
Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.
Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).
His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but
overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy
charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.
Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly
children.
It declined even further when schools were required to get parental
consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault.
Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to
realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her
lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust his wife, Discretion his daughter, Responsibility his son, Reason

He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers;
I Know My Rights
I Want It Now
Someone Else Is To Blame
I'm A Victim

Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this  link on. If not, join the majority and do
nothing.

What's Your Recovery Rate?

What is your recovery rate? How long does it take you to recover from actions and behaviors that upset you? Minutes? Hours? Days? Weeks? How long? The longer it takes you to recover the more influence that incident has on your actions, the less able you are to perform to your personal best. In a nutshell the longer it takes you to recover the weaker you are and the poorer your performance.
Just ask yourself:
How many times have I got upset with my spouse or partner for something the children did hours ago? How many times have I missed an opportunity because I was still focussed on an upset and all I could say was ‘NO’ to everything? How many times have I driven my car erratically because I was still thinking of an incident that made me angry? The point is: a poor recovery rate affects your health. A poor recovery rate affects your well being. A poor recovery rate stops you from living to your potential.
You are well aware that you need to exercise to keep the body fit and, no doubt, accept that a reasonable measure of health is the speed in which your heart and respiratory system recovers after exercise. Likewise the faster you let go of an issue that upsets you, the faster you return to an equilibrium the healthier you will be. The best example of this behavior is found with professional sportspeople. They know that the faster they can forget an incident or missed opportunity and get on with the game the better their performance. In fact, most measure the time it takes them to overcome and forget an incident in a game and most reckon a recovery rate of 30 seconds is too long!
How long does it take you to recover and overcome and forget and incident at work or at home?
A method that I and many others use to help us reduce the recovery time is the method of the FULL STOP.
Imagine yourself to be an actor in a play on the stage. Your aim is to play your part to the best of your ability. You have been given a script and at the end of each sentence is a full stop. Each time you get to the end of the sentence you start a new one and although the next sentence is related to the last it is not affected by it. Your job is to deliver each sentence to the best of your ability.
Now think about your life. Imagine life is no more than a play, a drama and we each have a role to play in that drama. Your job is to play your part to the best of your ability and the better you play your part the more chance that you will inspire others around you to improve their performance. Each incident you face is a new sentence. Just put a full stop behind it and start again. Accept that every time you meet someone or have a conversation with a person on the telephone or even send an email it is a new incident. You have both moved on since you last met, so remembering the last occasion only keeps you in the past and stops you moving forward. Stops you seeing new opportunities. The next time you see the person that upset you, or you upset, is a new occasion there is nothing to be gained by continuing from where you left off. The incident has finished. You are both in a different place now. It is a new sentence so start again.

My grandmother used to call it destiny. “Accept what has happened as part of your destiny and live with it”, was a favorite phrase of hers. You cannot change what has happened. Sulking or Brooding will not help. Analyzing will only give you a headache and keep it fresh in your mind. In the same way that you cannot enter the same river twice, you will never face the exact same incident again so why analyze that one? You can however notice whether you have a habit or thought pattern that clicks in certain circumstances and stops you performing to your best. You can then look at the habit and decide how you can change it.

The secret to a better life is be like the sportsperson, ask yourself:
Did I recover quicker today than I did yesterday?
Did I recover quicker this time than the last occasion I faced a similar incident?
Did I allow myself to be average today?
Did I equal or improve on my personal best today?

Don’t live your life in the past! Learn to live in the present, to overcome the past. Stop the past from influencing your daily life. Don’t allow thoughts of the past to reduce your personal best. Stop the past from interfering with your life. Learn to recover quickly.
What we are suggesting is not an easy path. To work on your recovery rate and make changes in your thoughts, behavior and attitudes requires a great deal of effort. However, the rewards are also great. It is important that you don’t force yourself to work on your recovery rate because you think you ought to or must or because you feel it will ‘make you a better person’. There's no benefit in that because you will not stick to the task. You will make a great deal of effort at the beginning but when you are not achieving the results you want you will stop or look for another technique. Only when you really feel you want to change.
When you realize life is not working for you at the moment using the methods you are using will you put in the effort to change your behavior to improve your recovery rate. You can only improve your recovery rate when you can see that there is great benefit for the self.
Once you decide you wish to improve your recovery rate, you will start to check and change your thoughts and behavior and make effort to perform to your personal best. You can check your progress by measuring the speed in which you are able to apply a full stop. The time it takes you to let go. The time it takes before you are functioning at or near your personal best again.
Check yourself:
What was my recovery rate after the argument with my partner?
What was my recovery rate after I lost a sale?
What was my recovery rate after I received a ticket for speeding?
What was my recovery rate after I heard a friend was ill?
What was my recovery rate after I got frustrated with myself over………?

But remember; Rome wasn’t built in a day. Reflect on your recovery rate each day. Every day before you go to bed, look at your progress. Don’t lie in bed saying to yourself, ‘I did that wrong’. ‘I should have done better there’. No. Look at your day and note when you made an effort to place a full stop after an incident. This is a success. You are taking control of your life. Remember this is a step by step process. This is not a make-over. You are undertaking real change here. Your aim: reduce the time spent in recovery.
The way forward?
Live in the present. Not in the precedent.

How can this be applied to the trading (trading recovery).
Recovery is very important factor in trading, it should be very fast else as said "the longer it takes you to recover the weaker you are and the poorer your performance becomes" ---
1. once you miss the trade check how fast you stop thinking on that missed trade and start looking for the new trade.
2. How fast do you recover after the gud and bad trade both.
3. If I am not comfortable i'll not trade, who ever tells me and i don't regret for not doing it even if it goes correct.
4. How fast i throw of my frustation when market is not showing any activity and enjoy the in-activity.(no compulsory trading)
5. How fast do i throw out my panic and take proper steps to protect my profits and investments.
6. How fast i take my losses and and cut the furthur losses.( i.e. allow yourself to take loss sometime, as they are good for health of your bank balance)

Power of Positive Talk and Training

I remember my dad teaching me the power of language at a very young age. Not only did my dad understand that specific words affect our mental pictures, but he understood words are a powerful programming factor in lifelong success.

One particularly interesting event occurred when I was eight. As a kid, I was always climbing trees, poles, and literally hanging around upside down from the rafters of our lake house. So, it came to no surprise for my dad to find me at the top of a 30-foot tree swinging back and forth. My little eight-year-old brain didn't realize the tree could break or I could get hurt. I just thought it was fun to be up so high.My older cousin, Tammy, was also in the same tree. She was hanging on the first big limb, about ten feet below me. Tammy's mother also noticed us at the exact time my dad did. About that time a huge gust of wind came over the tree. I could hear the leaves start to rattle and the tree begin to sway. I remember my dad's voice over the wind yell, "Bart, Hold on tightly." So I did. The next thing I know, I heard Tammy screaming at the top of her lungs, laying flat on the ground. She had fallen out of the tree. I scampered down the tree to safety. My dad later told me why she fell and I did not. Apparently, when Tammy's mother felt the gust of wind, she yelled out, "Tammy, don't fall!" And Tammy did. fall.

My dad then explained to me that the mind has a very difficult time processing a negative image. In fact, people who rely on internal pictures cannot see a negative at all. In order for Tammy to process the command of not falling, her nine-year-old brain had to first imagine falling, then try to tell the brain not to do what it just imagined. Whereas, my eight-year-old brain instantly had an internal image of me hanging on tightly.

This concept is especially useful when you are attempting to break a habit or set a goal. You can't visualize not doing something. The only way to properly visualize not doing something is to actually find a word for what you want to do and visualize that. For example, when I was thirteen years old, I played for my junior high school football team. I tried so hard to be good, but I just couldn't get it together at that age. I remember hearing the words run through my head as I was running out for a pass, "Don't drop it!" Naturally, I dropped the ball.

My coaches were not skilled enough to teach us proper "self-talk." They just thought some kids could catch and others couldn't. I'll never make it pro, but I'm now a pretty good Sunday afternoon football player, because all my internal dialogue is positive and encourages me to win. I wish my dad had coached me playing football instead of just climbing trees. I might have had a longer football career.

Here is a very easy demonstration to teach your kids and your friends the power of a toxic vocabulary. Ask them to hold a pen or pencil. Hand it to them. Now, follow my instructions carefully. Say to them, "Okay, try to drop the pencil." Observe what they do.
Most people release their hands and watch the pencil hit the floor. You respond, "You weren't paying attention. I said TRY to drop the pencil. Now please do it again." Most people then pick up the pencil and pretend to be in excruciating pain while their hand tries but fails to drop the pencil.

The point is made.
If you tell your brain you will "give it a try," you are actually telling your brain to fail. I have a "no try" rule in my house and with everyone I interact with. Either people will do it or they won't. Either they will be at the party or they won't. I'm brutal when people attempt to lie to me by using the word try. Do they think I don't know they are really telegraphing to the world they have no intention of doing it but they want me to give them brownie points for pretended effort? You will never hear the words "I'll try" come out of my mouth unless I'm teaching this concept in a seminar.
If you "try" and do something, your unconscious mind has permission not to succeed. If I truly can't make a decision I will tell the truth. "Sorry John. I'm not sure if I will be at your party or not. I've got an outstanding commitment. If that falls through, I will be here. Otherwise, I will not. Thanks for the invite."People respect honesty. So remove the word "try" from your vocabulary.
My dad also told me that psychologists claim it takes seventeen positive statements to offset one negative statement. I have no idea if it is true, but the logic holds true. It might take up to seventeen compliments to offset the emotional damage of one harsh criticism.

These are concepts that
are especially useful when raising children .

What I feel is that the brain is just like a software program, the better you program it the better result it will deliver. It is much easier and faster for the brain to learn new things than we think, we just need to allow our brain to learn more.

"There is more we do NOT know about the brain, than what we do know about the brain"
